U-Turn begins with 13 families in Tarrant County

U-Turn's initial program was launched July 10, 2010, with 13 families in Tarrant County. Heart of a Champion facilitators worked with students and parents as they participated in Commitment modules. Amy Campbell was on hand to speak to the families and share her personal experiences. The families in this initial session will participate in an 8-week program that includes training, cultural experiences, career shadowing, rewards and even scholarships. The first session was a great start to a life-changing experience for these families.
