CHAD CAMPBELL WINS $10,000 FROM TRAVELERS FOR U-TURN PROJECT AND TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP CHARITIES

June 22, 2011

Cromwell, Conn. – Twenty-six of 100 players participating in a practice round Tuesday for the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands landed a ball on The Umbrella at 15 ½, the 40-foot wide, 15 foot long floating green shaped like the Travelers umbrella logo.

Chad Campbell who recorded the closest shot to the pin at eight inches, decided to spit the donation with $5,000 donated to both the U-Turn Project and the Travelers Championship Charities.

"I am grateful to Travelers and the Travelers Championship for this donation to the U-Turn program," said Chad Campbell. "This money will help these at risk teens, who are going the wrong direction, get a second chance to turn their lives around. They are dear to Amy and me and Travelers is helping make a difference in their lives. Thanks!"

U-Turn, is part of the Chad and Amy Campbell Project and provides services to juvenile offenders and their families. The program includes a unique blend of character enrichment curricula, life-skills training, career and culture experiences, academic enhancements, community service learning projects and life coaching to teens in the Tarrant County probation system. They have partnered with Heart of a Champion.
